Hello - I have heard that Tiger Leaping Gorge will be closed for three months. Is this true? Will everything be closed or just the lower road? We were planning to visit around the end of December. Will be able to see anything?
Manager answer I can not read your message, sorry!

I need info how can I get from Yangshou to tiger leaping gorge in the cheapest yet shortest possible time spend 2 days and then on to Chengdu
Manager answer During the summer of 2009, I worked in Shanghai which is completely different from the TLG scene. Anywho, in early August one of my girlfriends came to visit me in Shanghai. We decided to travel to Beijing, Lijiang, TLG, and Guilin. Out of all the experiences we had traveling China, Sean's Guest House was the best by far, hands down! We stayed in the Buttercup room which had a newly finished and stylish bathroom that had a spa like feel to it, the most comfortable beds and clean comforters, and with a woodsy smell to it all when you walked into the room. Sean's GH also provided good eats with western and chinese variety, as well as, great service! We stayed three nights. Every morning we would wake up to the view of the actual gorge and almost of the time i would just reflect in awe. The location is about a ten minute walk from Tina's guesthouse so keep treking through to get to this gem! In addition, Sean's GH provides a variety of housing and sleeping quarters to fit every traveler's budget! Plus the food is cheap and excellent compared every place i stayed in China, especially Beijing and Shanghai. Sean will respond by email or phone if you have any questions, since i have a lot all the time...he was very patient and responsive. The first day, Shirley took us on a trek to about 3500ft that overlook the entire scene from a mountain top view. The second day, Sean took me and two other girls over a waterfall, up a bamboo forest, and then to his father's house to relax and nibble on some walnuts and juicy green pears. He gave us a feeling of belonging and understanding part of the culture which I hadn't had since working in Northern India. He also brought along his camera for the trek that was way more high tech than any of ours. he took beautiful pictures of our accomplishments throughout the journey and emailed the pictures right away through snapfish to each and every one of us within three days or so. He was amazing, constantly laughing, and was passionate for his job and his guest's happiness! What more could a traveler ask for from a kind host? Dont miss this chance to visit Sean's guest house if you have it! Also, sean will pick you up from pretty much anywhere for free...so dont listen to anyone who says otherwise. xo Josephine from Chicago, USA Thank you sean for giving us the best time of our lives and letting us into your life! kisses and hugs!
